Do You Need A Remote For The Dr750 To Recorder

YOU DO need a remote if you want to record anything directly off the TV guide. You can record a show manually at the DVR by pressing the red RECORD button what what you want to record is on the screen. But I don't see how you could do much else. You wouldn't even be able to playback if you can't get the list of what's on the machine--and this requires the remote.
In my area, Toshiba has quit paying for the TV guide to come to my machine. Now it's just a glorified VCR.
