Hi, if your mower starts but won't stay running, it's likely either a problem in the fuel tank/fuel line or carburetor. Try flushing the gas tank and carburetor, giving the carburetor a good cleaning to make sure no holes or venturis are clogged, and checking the fuel hose for burrs or blockages. Then fill the gas tank with new gas and give it a try.

If the above solution doesn't work, check the air filter to be sure it's not dirty. If it is, either clean or replace it.

If it still won't start, the carburetor may have a blockage, or you could have a more serious problem. Try spraying some starting fluid into the carburetor (with the air filter removed and the mower off) then put the filter back on and try starting the mower -- if it starts then dies, there is probably a blockage in the carb.
