Serpentine Belt Keeps Breaking

I have a 2008 SX4 with over 100K miles. Recently the sepentine belt failed and the mechanic said it was the waterpump that had froze up. I had him replace the belt and water pump. Less than a week later the belt again failed leaving me stranded. This is the third belt in less that 2 weeks to fail. Please advise.
