Hoses Under The Intake Manifold

Mechanic states that there is a busted hose under the intake manifold but he cannot tell which hose it is.  He suggests that if we are going to take off the intake manifold it would be a good idea to replace all of the hoses under there.  Any idea how many hoses we are talking about?
