Looking For A Fork In The Road As Opposed This Brick Wall.

hit a dip hard, like what the heck was I thinking hard. Next day noticed a pitched humming sound that may have been coming from the timing chain area. 2 days later car seemed to lag going into 1st gear. (BTW manual transmission). Later that day, stalled at stop light, and trouble restarting. Never before had to hit accelerator to start. Crank over, not starting. Crank over, with gas petal pumping... it wanted to start. Had to find -sweet spot- to get started. Idles at about 500 rpm. Punch gas pedal, it wants to die. Only when feathering the pedal can I get it going out of first or reverse. Disconnected air filter to intake. Not much of a change. Now am looking for any line (fuel), that I may have pinched. Or sensor wire that might have been clipped. Could the timing chain jumped a notch? Or the guide be loose? Stumped in a grrr state of mind... in advance, thanks for any positive advice.
