Account Info

I just got my services about a week ago and paid $192, didnt get any email or letter with accouhnt info. when I called today to get account number to sign up, it says I have a bill pending for $44, but why. and if I didn't call the number to get my account info, this bill would haver generated late fee.. is this why I signed up for services and pay $156 a month??? ????
