Text Message Pictures Remain On Straight Talk Server Even When I Delete Message.

I received a text message containing an inappropriate picture.  I deleted the text message and it's gone from my phone however I later found that pictures and texts still remain on Straight Talk server.  ??? why should texts remain on-line if I have deleted it from the phone.  I would have not even known had I not looked at my account on-line.
