Problem With Texts And Its Not On You But I Want To Know If You Know What To Do

I have a samsung galaxy precedent which about a couple of weeks ago got submerged in water. The phone has acted fine except it says its charging when its not which I can live with. What I dont like is that I can now not recieve my text messages, I have turned the phone off and back on and so on. If I need to seek other help tell me because with as much problems as I have had with the phones I've gotten with you you have told me nothing of use so actually type something back or I'll take my money elsewhere.
