Programing This Remote To Any Tv.

Hey there. I found a Sony RM-YD010 remote in the place I moved into. I have my own (old) Samsung TV and I wanted to see if I can program the Sony remote to work with my TV. A little light flashes on my TV when I press the buttons of the remote, so I guess it is recognizing the infrared, but the TV won't respond (won't turn on/off or do any other controls). Does anyone know how to program the remote, or if the remote is even able to do this?? Please let me know!

The remote is a proprietary device provided with the Sony TV's listed here. It isn't a universal remote. You can purchase an inexpensive uni. remote almost anywhere electronic accessories are sold.
