Check the TV to see if it has a ZOOM / WIDE option or control for adjusting the aspect ratio; if so, try setting it to NORMAL. NOTES: If there is a SCREEN MODE button on the TV remote control, you can press this button until NORMAL is selected.

DVD players do not output the same size picture as modern TVs (DVD format is an old technology that was around before the modern wide screen formats). blueray movies should fit as they are in 1080 format but DVDs will not. You may be able to use the zoom or 4:3 modes to make the picture watchable, but you will not get the size exact for a modern TV since DVD is not 100 percent correct for size. Try the zoom button until it looks the best it can. Don't forget to use the zoom button again when you go back to normal TV as the picture will be the wrong size.
