Turn on the device you want to program your remote to work with.
Step 2Depress and hold the "Channel +" button on your remote; at the same time, depress and hold the "Cable/Sat" or "TV" button.
Step 3Release the buttons after waiting at least five seconds. Point the remote at the device you're trying to program. This remote works only with VCRs, cable boxes and televisions.
Step 4Enter the appropriate two-digit code for your cable box or TV. The code list is available online. Depress the device button, then let it go.
Step 5Depress the power button to complete the process. Test your remote's programming by turning your device on and off with the remote.
