My Mds-jb930 Mini Disc Player Is Making Weird Static Sounds While Recording

I recently wanted to line in record some music & noticed when I started to record , there was a consistent burst of static sounds that continued on through my recording session. I don't know what that is or why. When I play the music back to listen for the static bursts of sound , there is none , but the music has a slight consistent jolt of RPM's going ever so slightly up & down to signify where the static jolts must be. I am wondering what that is , if there is an authorized Sony repair shop to take my recorder to or in the least , has there ever been a mini disc drive cleaner in the form of a mini disc. Kinda' like a CD cleaner that has the CD's with the little brushes underneath that clean the leans & the overall isides of a CD player? I am wondering if my MDS-JB930 has ran it's coarse. Seems like that is the only thing that is wrong with it. The short , but frequent consistent bursts of static , like you would hear on a TV that has snow on the screen with the audio where you can hear it , but short bursts of those sounds. What can I do ? Please help. I am always online & watch my Emails all day long consistently & onstantly all through out the day everyday. Please let me know if it can be repaired & if so by who & where. I live in San Diego, California. Is there an authorized Sony dealer in my city to remedy this screetching type of burst of static sounds? Please let me know. I'll be watching for your response eagerly. Thanks for any & all help & or suggestions. I am thinking it might be as simple as a setting to change , but I already did that & checked all the settings in the "Setup" area of the player. I covered all those basis. I don't know what is making those staticky bursts of noise. Please help.  Thanks again. Robb Richter
