Can I Connectconnecting The Speakers When The Tv Is Mounted To The Wall Without

I just had the TV mounted high up on the wall in my garage. Can I connect the satellite speakers without using the subwoofer? I can't find anywhere in the manual directions of whether the speakers can be used without the subwoofer. All I could find was a sentence saying not to use the subwoofer if you're mounting the TV on a wall. But I can't find anything that tells me what to do as far as being able to use the satellite speakers with or without the subwoofer
