When I Plug In My Player It Keeps Reading Check Battery.

This was given to me w/o a manual. Why can I not get it to play. it just keeps saying check battery when it is plugged into an outlet

check if you have not a switch behind the unit called ac / dc switch to ac position when connect it, if not if you have batteries inside try to remove them and reconnect the unit to see if it's work
