How Do You Take Pictures Of The Person You're Skyping To?

I would like to know, how do you get around taking pictures of the person you're skyping to? I have tried looking for anything that mentions "Take Picture" but to no avail. I am using a MacBook Pro, and the only way I took pictures before was through using a Mac application meant to take screenshots. Grateful if you can help answer my question. Thank you in advance.
