Xe-a102 Will Not Initalize

I performed a master reset of the machine and the display illuminates, shows the no battery symbol and contains all zeros (according to manual should show no battery symbol and 0.00). When I attempt to continue by adding the batteries, the machine has a continuous beep with all the zeros and does not stop until I turn the key to off position. I turn it back to REG and it still displays all zeros across the screen, I turn to program and the machine does not respond to any keystroke. Can you assist me
