No Sound With Coax Connection

A lack of sound from the coaxial input could be due to several causes. Frist, make sure it isn't on MUTE (which I don't think it would be since other inputs are ok). Next make sure you don't have it set for SAP (second audio programming). Also make sure that the audio function for the tuner is set to use the internal speakers. Some units have the ability to shut off sound to the speakers when routing sound to a surround sound receiver. As for blaming the coax, the only way the sound would not be received via coax is if it were not being sent from the cable company in the first place. Since something like that would mean others would be experiencing the same thing that is highly unlikely.

If nothing seems to work, look through your owner's manual and see if you can do a "reset to factory settings" and see if that restores your sound.

Unless there's a problem with the cable tuner, it's most likely a problem with the coax cable or the connection.
