Problem With Our Cash Register

We did our weekly report this morning. We noticed that there were all zero's across the display and the whole register was locked. We unplugged the unit for a few second and plugged it back in. Now, the receipt and journal tape will not advance. We keep getting the following that prints on the receipt tape - 0-693 . GT Q. Nothing prints on the journal tape. We have replaced the batteries.

Yep. That will do it. The programming has been lost.

Turn the key to REG mode. Turn the register off at the wall. Take one of the batteries out. Turn on at the wall and wait for three beeps. Fit the battery and make sure the 'L' goes off of the display. Sign on (1 CASH#) and it should be ready to use. You'll need to reprogram things like date/ time/ tax
