What Type Grease Should I Use On A Sharp Cash Register? Mod #er-a320.
I also am wondering if this model is especially noisy?

No grease required. They use a high reliability Epson printer with good bearings. The rubber parts will perish long before the bearings fail. Yes, they should run fairly loud as the drum printers used a rubber roller which ran pressure on the drum. You should hear a motor and gears running as well as a clunk type sound on each revolution. Very solid printer. Just make sure you always use two paper rolls in it (receipt on left and journal on right). If you leave the journal roll out for a while, you will kill it. Also, change the ink roller when the ink fades. NEVER re-ink the roller.
