Seagate Hard Disk Is Not Detected
No External hard drive is detected on Macintosh in Seagate expansion 1TB STEA1000400. Since I got my Macintosh, I haven't experienced any issue. The hard disc requires a solution, therefore. What could I do?

Since you have said that it could not be your Mac, but hard disk, try USB External Troubleshooter of Macintosh. https://www.seagate.com/in/en/support/kb/usb-external-troubleshooter-003581en/

Check the format of the drive. If it is formatted for NTFS it will not read. Also verify that the cable is good. Does the light flash when connected? This indicates that the drive is working. If you have access to a windows PC you can verify if it works on that. Did you buy it new? It may need configuring and you can use 'disk utilities' on your Mac to set it up.
