Origin Of Water Drips Behind Refrigerator?

there is a plastic attachment with foam on the backside of the unit where a line comes in that appears to be the source of a small volume of water on the floor behind the fridge but the part is not listed in the user manual so I have no way to troubleshoot/explore. The foam is soaked. The water to the fridge from the supply has been off for several months. Photo attached.

The origin of the water dripping behind your refrigerator is most likely due to the ice maker. The water drips down from the ice dispenser and gets caught in a small crevice on the back panel. I would recommend contacting Samsung support, as they will be able to diagnose and fix this problem for you.

Why does water drip down the back of my fridge?

If your fridge has water pooling at the bottom, the defrost tube is your MOST likely suspect. Your defrost tube is what carries the water all the way down to the drain pan where it eventually evaporates. ... This tube can get clogged with ice or debris which leads to water backing up and leaking back into the fridge.

Why is water leaking from my Samsung refrigerator?

Don't worry; it happens even to the best models from other brands. Samsung refrigerators typically leak for several common reasons. No matter where first you notice the leak, the root cause is usually a clogged defrost drain line, a faulty water inlet valve, or a problematic water filter.
