Self-closing Freezer Door Feature Not Working

The freezer door does not close completely on one side (left); there is about a quarter inch gap between the door and the chassis. Manually closing the door works for a second or two, then the door pops open again. The right side closes and is tight. Please advise whether adjustment is possible or whether parts replacement is required.
