Samsung Dvd-vcr Recorder
Is it possible to replace the DVD-laser or must I replace the complete DVD assembly. I suppose I really want to know if there are spare parts available to purchase.

Laser assemblies can be replaced but you need to get the correct one and also have the equipment to set it up to read the disc correctly. It is not really a home job. Replacing the complete drive unit is a more common sense option and should not cost much more as they should be readily available.
