Belt Stops

Hello, I have had my Reebok RT1000 treadmill for about 15 years now from new. However it has stood idle for about the last two years. Now when I get on at 3 mph it works for about 30 seconds then stops. As soon as I step off it starts to run again. When I step back on it stops immediately. My weight is 16 st13 lb. Which according to the book is under the the max of 17st 8lb. Any ideas
