how do i get my rtb 10223 to supply surround sound through my television

Plug the red and white rca cables into the output of your cable/satellite, then plug other end into back of home theatre/blu-ray. Switch over to "Aux". If you have an optical ouput from your tv, you can run that to the home theatre/blu-ray also and switch to "optical"

it doesnt do surround sound THROUGH the tv, it takes sound from the tv and puts it through the surround sound speakers that came with your blu ray player.
