Lyra Mp3 Player - Rca2854a Will Not Turn On.

I haven't used my RCA LYRA MP3 player for several months. Now it flashes something on the screen following which it doesn't do anything anymore. acts almost as if it is fried, eventhough I can't recall any previous power related event that might confirm this. Is there any type of solution that I, not trained in electronics, might be able to perform. like perhaps finding (?) and replacing the battery? Otherwise, could you perhaps direct me to an RCA qualified repair service? I live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Thanks for your help.
