Transmission Replaced Now 2008 Grand Prix Won't Start

A friend who has mechanic certification got a transmission from pik-a-part and replaced the transmission in my 2008 Grand Prix. Now that the transmission has been replaced and put back together, it won't start. Is there anything special that needs to be done when replacing the transmission? Reset of anything?
