ETS stands for "electronic traction system". That would have nothing to do with your car running poorly.

Rough idle can be a few things. Your car's throttle body may be dirty. Try spraying carburetor cleaner into the throttle body to clean it up. Do it with the car running and have a friend rev it a little to prevent stalling. Be sure to spray it at arm's length, since carb cleaner is very flammable.

It could also be a defective throttle position sensor (TPS). It's right on the throttle body and easy to replace.

A bad ignition coil could also be the problem. Also fairly easy to replace.

Replacing the spark plugs and wires may help, especially if you haven't replaced them in awhile.

When was the last time you replaced the fuel filter? It can clog up and make the car run poorly. You should replace the fuel filter every 10,000 miles or so.

Sorry to give you all these possibilities, but there are a lot of things that can cause a car to run roughly and die on acceleration.
