Install In 1999 Ford Contour Getting No Sound In Speakers
car 1999 Ford contour is there a reason that the unit will not work with standard ford speakers in a 1999 contour sound system? Or is there some other reason that the sound does not come threw to sound system we used the reciver wiring harness

Had the same problem. Turns out one of the speakcer connectors on the right speaker got bent going into the door and grounded out. If that speaker was hooked up, no sound at all. When I re-connected with the power on and only the other side hooked up, sound.
For your application check and see if your unit will work with speakers hooked direct to the unit, i.e. not through the vehicle's wiring harness. If the speakers work, you'll need to run new speaker wires.
