Button Holer

I set up my ambition 1.0 as directed, put button in holer, put the foot on, set machine, pull lever down and when it goes it only does a very tiny hole. I cannot seem to get it to read the size of the button. What am I doing wrong. Do I need to select something each time I do a new button to tell the machine?
