I Have Changed The Battery But The Handset Does Not Charge.

Recently the battery stopped charging and I replaced the battery but the handset is still not charging. When the supplier had supplied new battery about two days ago the battery did charge and the yellow light indicator was on but the handset battery has now completely discharged and there is no display on handset.
