Fuel Line Popping Off/ Will Not Stay On!

The middle fuel line leading FROM the top of the fuel pump will not stay on, it pops off regularly and leaks gasoline at an alarming rate. When I reconnect the line, it does NOT want to go on the fuel pump all the way, no matter what I do! How can I fix this?? Please, answer in a way that a complete vehicle repair beginner can understand, pics, videos or diagrams very much welcome! THANK YOU!!!
