If you need to replace your vehicle's starter but can't recall where the wiring is, follow these steps for a safe and informed approach, and these are general guidance to help you reconnect the starter.

Step 1: Consult the service handbook for your car. It includes full information regarding the wiring diagram, including wire placement on the starter.

Step 2: Locate the portion of the repair handbook that contains a starting wiring diagram. This diagram will show the connections as well as the color codes for each wire.

Step 3: Take clear photographs of the current setup before disconnecting any cables. When you reconnect the new starter, this will act as a visual guide.

Step 4: If there are many cables of the same color, label them with tape or markers to avoid misunderstandings during reinstallation.

Step 5: In most cases, the positive cable (typically red) connects to the battery's positive connector. Typically, a smaller wire connects to the ignition switch or solenoid.

Step 6: Some starters feature markings for the battery connection and the solenoid, such as "B" for battery and "S" for solenoid. Examine the starter for any labels or markings.

Step 7: If you are unsure or uncomfortable with the process, consult a skilled technician or call the vehicle manufacturer's service center. They can offer advice and ensure proper wire arrangements.

Step 8: If you don't have any other options, you can use a trial-and-error method. However, this should only be performed as a last resort if you have a thorough understanding of your vehicle's electrical system.

Note:

Remember that improper wiring can cause electrical problems, vehicle damage, and even safety hazards. When working on your vehicle, always put safety and accuracy first. If in doubt, seek professional assistance to guarantee a correct installation.

I hope this information is useful! Please let me know if you have any more inquiries.
