Do 2010 Nissan Muranos have transmission problems?

Nissan has known about the problems with their CVT transmission and has refused to remedy the problem. I purchased my 2010 Nissan Murano in November of 2018 with just over 165000 miles on it and paid just over $6000 cash. In late December the transmission began whining and then slipping during acceleration.
