My Neighbors Hate Me Please Help

I got up bright and early and started loading my truck. I don't have a key fob and for whatever reason when I used my key to unlock my passenger side door my alarm started. Unhooking the battery was all I knew to do. I'd like to know how to turn it off and avoid the eternity of beeping while I try random things until something works
