Battery Not Taking Charge

replaced altenator, the battery is only a few months old. You can jump start the truck an it will sometimes run for 10 to 15 miles. Then the battery light comes on an you are stuck beside the road agine. Is it possibly a ground or other electrical reason other then the alternator?

Hello

Double check the alternator connections. If everything is okay then ge it tested with proper equipment. If the problem still there, i recommend checking positive big wire from alternator to battery, there might be crack or corrosion. If the ground would be bad than the starter would not crank.
