Nikon Coolpix L22

Until recently my Nikon Coolpix L22 used to show up on my computer as a Mass Storage Device "L22". I have tried reinstalling the Software Suite of Coolpix. This does not seem to be installing well, and there is no indication that the camera is connected. How can I get back to the original position, of having as a Mass Storage Device
