Zoom Lens Does Not Work

When you try to use the zoom control nothing happens

Take the camera to a repair shop and get it fixed. The fault is in the electronic contacts or the software. Check the Canon website to see if there is a recall or additional quick fixes, but it sounds like a repair job to me. Hopefully, it will be covered by warranty.
