Motorola W385,phone Pics To My Desktop.

I want to save the pics in my phone. I have a USB port cord that goes from my comp. into the phone, but I can't do anything with it. I've found that my comp is NOT blue-tooth savy...so, do I really need to first get a bluetooth adaptor in order to move my phone pics into my computer? I got my phone in 2007...still have it. Thanks.
