Washing machine does not work and no indicators operative.

Cause 1:
The appliance is not plugged in or the socket is not working.

Remedy 1:
Check that the appliance is plugged in and the fuse has not tripped. Plug another item into the socket or try the appliance in a different socket.

Cause 2:
The door is not closed.

Remedy 2:
The door lock is like an on/off switch for the appliance so if the door is open, it will not work. Push the door firmly shut.

Cause 3:
The 'On/Off' switch has not been switched on.

Remedy 3:
Press the 'On/Off' switch.

Cause 4:
For models with interior light: the bulb cover could be loose.

Remedy 4:
Check that the bulb cover is fitted securely. See link below for instructions on checking the lamp cover.

If it does not spin when fabric is wet inside, the following may be possible causes and remedies

Cause 1:

Incorrect wash programme, low spin speed, 'rinse hold' or 'without spin' selected

Remedy 1:

Select the wash programme and spin speed according to the laundry. Check that cottons items are being washed in cottons programme as length of spin is approximately 8-10 minutes long and can select up to the maximum spin speed. Minimum iron is only 1.5 - 2 minutes long spinning at 900 - 1200 rpm depending on model number.

Cause 2:

An imbalance was registered in the final spin cycle and the spin speed automatically capped (eg washing bath mat).

Remedy 2:

- Wash large and small items together in order to achieve a more even load distribution.

- Ensure that the appliance is installed perfectly level. Even a machine installed at a slight angle can cause an imbalance.

- Check that the maximum drain height of 1 m is not exceeded. Only then can suds be pumped away properly.
