In And Out Of Overdrive

The trans started shifting out of O/D, reving up, and right back into O/D. It was doing this several times in a row and got to the point the trans was sliping. n I took it out of O/D and the other gears seem fine. any idea on what's making it come out of O/D and back in erradically.
