Help Me Repair My 98 Grand Marquis

Back of the car? Thats either a brake line or if its a length of metal tubing you are seeing a fuel line. The emergency brake cable can also look like a slender hose. If its fuel line, the cars undrivable. If its a brake line, it shouldnt be driven. If its the emergency brake cable then you lost the 8/16th inch nut on the adjustment assembly most likely and it just needs to be replaced and tightened until it holds the car stopped while its in gear but without using the throttle. Thats the proper adjustment to pass inspection in most states. A fuel line shouldnt have broke, thats kinda hard to do.

All i can say is jack the car up and remove the wheel thats closest to your hanging hose and see where its supposed to go and go from there.
