Why do you not have E-87. The E-85 that you offer may be okay for lawn mowers, but not for most cars. Is it just to say that you offer the alternative fuel, knowing 90% of autos can't use it without having problems, so they won't buy it but you can still claim to have it? Driving out West, I never saw E -85 without E-87 being offered also, and many times with just the E-87. Most cars must take 87 octane (E-87) or they could ruin their engines. Is Meijers willing to cover the cost for this repair. The attendants don't even know what E-85 is! Meijer employees should be instructed to inform customers just exactly what E-85 is and warn them not to use it unless their car can run on 85 octane.

The reason most employees don't know the answer to E-87 is because you are probably asking the wrong questions. E-85 does not reference an Octane rating of 85; E-85 refers to a blend of 85% ethanol to %15 gasoline. The actual octane rating of E85 varies, but may be higher than the 87 associated with unleaded gasoline.

Incidently, E87 is European Route 87. I doubt you'll find that road in the Western U.S.
