Front Loader Flashing E3. Repairman Said Needs New Control Board, Can I Fix This

My Maytag front loader was repaired with new sensors at both the hot and cold inlet. After the repairman left, the washer started flashing E3. Repair man came back and said it needed a new control board. Could the repairman have caused the problem. Is there anything I can try to get it to work?
