My Dryer Starts But The Shuts Down After 5 Minutes

I have a maytag model medc400v0. It had been in use about 5 years. The dryer started shutting down after 5 minutes of run time. The exsust vent hose is clear of lint, I dissambled the vent shoot and checked for cleaning fan. There is no exsust blockage anywhere. I checked connections on timer put cover back on and every thing worked ok for a couple of days. Then problem returned.
