Does it matter which hose goes where on a washer?

When connecting the inlet hoses to your shut-off valves and the washer, make sure you connect the hot and cold water hoses properly. Traditionally, the home hot water shut-off if on the left and is marked red, while the cold water shut-off is typically on the right and is marked blue.

How do you keep a washing machine drain hose in place?

Loop the bent end of the hose over the lip of the sink, which should not be more than 45 inches away from the washing machine. Secure the hose to the leg of the laundry sink using a plastic cable strap. Make sure that the hose end is not touching the bottom of the sink, which could restrict the flow of water.

Do Maytag washers come with hoses?

Can't believe Maytag skimped on this! Yes it does but not water hoses. No, the hoses are not included. Yes, it does

How much does it cost to tighten washer hoses?

When connecting the hoses to the supply valves and to the washer DO NOT over tighten. You are only trying to compress the little rubber washer in the end of the hose to make a good seal. Snug is good (if one of the hoses leak you can tighten them a bit to stop the leak).

Can a washing machine drain hose run along the floor?

Yes, the drain hose needs to be elevated and it's always best to do so at a level that's higher than the washing machine itself. This will prevent possible siphoning. There are also other steps you can take to ensure that you get the best drainage.
