^the Sign-up Process Will Not Let Me Use My Current Phone Number.

I called 1 and was told I needed a $150.00 tech support "fix" to my computer, and then they would be able to unlock my number and install it. I do not trust this. What are my options?

I don't trust it either. It sounds way out of bounds. If your own number is available, the charge according to magicJackis a $19.99 one-time fee and a $9.95 annual charge after the first year—nothing about a $150 charge.

If magicJack is wanting to charge you $150, I suggest you complain to the Florida Attorney General at 850-414-3990, and the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services, at 850-488-2221 or 2005 Apalachee Pkwy., Tallahassee, FL 32399.
