Porting My Current Phone Number

I've entered my phone number on the magic website about getting my current phone number ported to the magicjack. I haven't got a reply yet and was wondering how it takes, how much does it cost, and if its even even possible. I would really like to keep my existing number and stop paying for my current telephone provider. A quick response would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your reply.

I ported my number to magicJack. It cost a little over $20. I requested it on their web site and it took about a week.
