My Computer Says The Usb Device Is Not Working

Dear Customer service,My computer says that the USB device is not recognized. I have plugged the device into the port on at least 20 occasions today with no success. Does this mean that my device has stopped working? I have had the device since 2009.

It may mean that you're using an operating system (like WinXP) whose use the device no longer supports. If this doesn't answer, please resubmit with more specifics (which operating system, which device, and the precise and complete wording of the error message).
