I Would Like To Purchase Magicjack For Use Without Having My Computer Turned On

However, my current MagicJack plug is not working and not allowing me to call many friends whom I was able to call before. Also the right hand window frame on my current Magicjack viewing screen is showing a blank. It tries to load, however it is unable to. Several of my local friends tell me they are being charged for calling my number. What is the problem? I am thinking of dropping MagicJack and getting another form of communication. Mary A. We're an independent help site, not magicJack. It's a mystery to me why you would want to purchase another magicJack in view of the poor results with your current device. However...

Your magicJack may not work properly, or at all

if you're not logged on to your Windows user account,
if it's not running,
if it's not secured in the USB port,
if the phone cord is not secured or is broken,
if you're not connected to the Internet,
if without a powered USB hub several phones are used to generate power from a USB port,
or if your magicJack device is defective.

If the device is not defective, simple actions may resolve the problem, as outlined here. Or you may try these instructions. If the device is defective, you need to return it. If you bought it from magicJack, follow the instructions at http://my.magicjack.com/returns.html.

If it's too late to return the device, you can seek a resolution with your credit card company or with the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services, at 850-488-2221.
